Île Saint Louis

The Ile Saint Louis was cool and breezy – none of the hoards of summer tourists were in sight to spoil its beauty.

Notre Dame stood there majestically, next to the lovely, tiny bridge next to it.  The river Seine was high and “greige” in colour – as the sun was setting on it, it shimmered and glowed, with golden lights jumping off its little waves.

It’s quiet, serene, and beautiful.  We do like it so in winter.  Divine.
