Oriental “soirée” à Paris

We had a “soirée” the other evening, where we watched a movie called “Le Chant du Nil”.

The ladies wore beautiful Oriental robes.  We wore a green chiffon long robe, embroidered with gold and pearls, and a pale, blue turban worn in the Arabian fashion.

The background music was by Ali Reza Ghorbani, in “Songs of Rebirth – A Tribute to Rumi” (the Sufi mystic and poet), and old romantic French songs.  We drank deep red wine, and ate Arabian sweets.

We dream of a world, where women were glamorous, mysterious, and seductive, while the men were chivalrous, and…
