Katrine, The Artist… The Linear Labyrinths of the Mind…

Katrine

“Une femme…

“Une artiste”

“une peintre”

Talented…

Beautiful…

Is planning for her… much anticipated exhibitionà Paris

She is… excited…

Elated…

A dream come true

At about fifteen years of age, Katrine would draw doodles on her school notebooks…

No one… took much notice…

No one… noticed the budding artist… except for one person… her mentor

As the awkward young girl metamorphosed into… a beauty

Her doodles also began to transform into lines – drawn in black on white – black ink on white paper…

The lines were taking shape… transforming into amazing works of Art…

She called her work… “Linear Art“.

Her creative work is a self expression of… the emotional… the spiritual… the workings of the mind

It is a body of work… suspended in timelessness

Katrine is an artist, who resides between London and Paris.

Due to her extensive travelling, her fascination with different cultures has had a profound impact on her work

She has had several exhibitions internationally

One of her most enigmatic and profound works is called… “The Labyrinths of the Mind“…

Katrine’s composition of sensitive, vertiginous lines… that spriral into shell-like shapes and layers

Zig zags, curves, triangles, lines – bold, vertical, and horizontal – interrupted, by dots… giving it a vibrational quality… a convolution, complexity, and intricacy of the mind

Another black and white masterpiece is called “The Unknown” – it is a form of a man etched into a timeless passage of time

The black, abstract shape is… walking into the unknown

Brilliant interpretation of man’sfragilityvulnerability

In the conceptual abstract of man‘s existance

Another tangent of her work is the flowing waves of lines that is amazing and masterful

Not forgetting Katrine’s fascination

with the “zodiac“, in which she used her exquisite linear lines, in portraying the twelve zodiac signs…

Katrine, a gifted and talented artist…

Begins and ends her works with a simple line… which leads her into meaningful images

Of the labyrinths of her…

Mind and soul
