Bonne Année… 2012…

Our New Year’s2012

Huîtresà Paris“…

We decided… on a huge seafood platter… “plateau de fruits de mer“… for our New Year’s feast

At our localResto“… where two men are constantly prying the clammed shells of the silvery oysters open… readying them for their constant and regular stream of clients who dine daily… at this very excellent… Parisian fish restaurant

Its outdoor stand is filled with mouthwatering “coquillage“, or shellfish… like the fresh, orangy-pink “langoustine” or crayfish, with its delicious cousin the “gambas“, or Mediterranean prawn… nestled beside it…

“L’homard”… the hugely imperious lobster… the “king of seafood“… with its fleshy white meat… is definitely our favourite

Howeverabove all… is the “beauty of beauties”… the “pearl of pearls“… or rather the “pearl of the sea”… the delicate sea-shell… the fabuloushuître“…

L’huître“… oyster… consists of a greyish pearl-white shell… in the shape of a large tear-drop with a “stylish” pinkish-greyish substance… that lives in the heart of its lovely pearly shell

Les huîtres“… come in an array of varieties… “spéciales”… “fines de claire”… “spéciales de claire”… selection of sizes… from the small… to the large… largest… as well as the dazzlinggrands crus“…

“Déliceaux”…

The French, in general… and the Parisians, in particular… cannot resist their “fruits de mer“…

They’re addicted… to this mouthwateringly sensuous delicacy

Our New Year’splateau“… came with a collection of the most exquisite selection of sea creatures

Oysters, shrimps, lobster, crab, prawns, langoustine, “moules”, “coquilles Saint-Jacques“… all piled fantastically high… on a bed of ice, with lemon halves scattered on top… accompanied by a pot of “mignonette sauce“… (finely chopped shallots mixed with vinegar and cracked pepper… with slices of special bread)… to be enjoyed with our… “delicacy of delicacies“…

Popping our bouteille de Champagne“… filling our crystal champagne glasses

    Dear Sir

Me and my husband will visit Paris on Friday and would love to eat the seafood platter. I found your delicious photo and would like to ask the name and address of this Paris restaurant. Also, what the price range of this restaurant?

Hope to hear from you soon. My email: clarap.chin@gmail.com
    Many thanks
    Clara
