Brooklyn.. Rive Gauche…

After last yeDSC_0417ar’s spotlight on Japan.. in its annual cultural theme.. Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche… has yet again launched it’s effervescent rendez-vous with the autumn season.. its “Made in Brooklyn” exhibition…

Visiting my favourite “grand magasin à Paris“.. with my arm still in a sling having fractured it recently.. I was transported to the enchanting, dynamic, exciting “arrondissement de Brooklyn“.. in New York

The new generation of designers, creators, artists, stylists, and entrepreneurs included in this grand exhibition… successfully conveyed and redefined the New York inventive energy of Brooklyn, with the unsurpassable eclectic romance of Paris.

“L’esprit rive gauche”.. Made in Brooklyn.. in Mode.. Beauté.. Design.. all were beautifully displayed to best advantage.. re-inventing New York chic.

Over a hundred Brooklyn Makers.. or brands.. including fashion designers, ceramicists, chefs, florists, and chocolate makers, have contributed to the wonderful selection of products, which included recycled bags by Brooklyn Industries, vintage-like menswear by Knickerbocker, and delightful hand-made coloured knit hats by All Knitwear, which make for much coveted presents.. now that we’re embarking on the impending cold days of winter.

Not forgetting the “incontournableBrooklyn Rive Gauche delicatessen at La Grande Epicerie where one can buy jarred pickles by Brooklyn Brine.. honey infused with chillies from Mike’s Hot Honey.. crispy Kale by New York Naturals.. as well as delectable biscuits…
