7 Scorpio 43

The Scorpio New Moon delivers a Halloween vibe that’ll outlast the costumes, parties and stashes of candy.

It’s dark and mysterious, with an edge of danger.. It’s stirring spectres and demons, ghosts and other reminders of mortality, and non-rational impulses with the power to overtake sensibility…

Kathy Biehl: 2016 Aries Full Moon

The cosmic alarm clock is going off.. but don’t bother reaching for the snooze button. There isn’t one. Not that anyone could sleep through the racket.

It’s coming off this year’s supercharged Aries Full Moon and its powder keg of emotional explosions, epiphanies, breakthroughs and jailbreaks. They are blasting us out of complacency and stuck places. Pushing fence sitters to jump to the ground and get going already. Detonating hair-trigger impulses venting pressure that’s been building for months, even years…

Kathy Biehl’s October 2016 Astrology Forecast

Kiss the doldrums goodbye (and good riddance)… October is a happening month.

Clouds are parting. A path is opening. Cosmic hands are shoving us onto it. And by the end of the month, we’re taking that path seriously indeed. And possibly a certain person, too.

Progress rolls out in two distinct phases, with the turning point falling neatly on the 15th. The first half moves us out of personal detail-driven clean-up and reboot and into expansiveness and taking others more into account. Perhaps with a touch of kicking and screaming; perhaps that’s mostly at ourselves…

Kathy Biehl: 2016 Libra New Moon

September 30, 2016 – October 1, 2016

This year’s Libra New Moon launches a phase of new and improved relating.

It’s the first Libra New Moon in 12 years with the optimism and expansiveness of Jupiter in the sign. The beneficent god made his entrance on the 9th, and he’s closing in on the Sun and the Moon as they fuse their lights.

He’s sending them subtle but unrelenting suggestions that will color not just this moon phase, but also the next 12 months – genially advocating for more pleasing, harmonious and polite relationships that take both sides of the equation into account…

Paris Property Group: Making Dreams Come True…

It could be the subject of a real estate reality show. Paris Property Group clients Jeff and Kristy, a young couple expecting their first child, wanted a pied-a-terre in Paris that would also be a great rental investment property. The pair, physicians based in Phoenix, Arizona, first thought Jeff would come to look at property alone, so that Kristy wouldn’t have to travel late in her pregnancy; but he didn’t want to make the choice for them both. So they took a leap of faith and asked PPG to search for them, to send photos and videos of anything interesting, and see what would come…

Kathy Biehl: 2016 Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

September 16, 2016

24 Virgo 19 / 24 Pisces 19

Hear that roar? It’s the tidal wave coming off the Pisces Full Moon.

An umbrella won’t do you any good. A surfboard might not, either; these breakers have indomitable force. Running away is pointless, too.

This Full Moon is a lunar eclipse… escalating everything that unfolds under it into larger-than-life proportions. What’s cresting is beyond mortal power. It will find you, no matter where you go…

Kathy Biehl’s September 2016 Astrology Forecast

September… is the pivot point for the year.

Much that’s been in the works for months, even years, is finally moving ahead. Or moving on. Stasis, stalling and wondering are on the way out. Clarity, movement and solid (if simplified) structure are coming in.

There’s no guarantee of a smooth, orderly or easy transition, though. The change-out is arriving in a whirlwind of revelations, unmaskings, departures, arrivals and shifts so dramatic they could wind…

Rajasthan Blogasthan!

Rajasthan! The very name conjures up images of princely states and fabled forts, of Maharajas and city palaces, of gemstones, silken fabrics, camels and elephants. And, indeed, all of those were on full view in the cities we visited: Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodphur and, way out near the Pakistan border, Jaisalmer.

We began our journey though, in Punjab, driving from Delhi to Agra, which historically alternated with Delhi as the capital of the Mughal Empire. Here, we joined the millions of other visitors who pour annually through a handsome red sandstone gateway, and come face to face with one of the world’s great monuments, the Taj Mahal, standing since 1652 on the banks of the Yamuna River…

If Only Walls Could Talk… Hôtel de Talleyrand

If only walls could talk… then this elegant 18th century private home (hôtel particulier) in the centre of Paris would fill our ears for hours. Known today as the Hôtel de Talleyrand, it was originally designed and built between 1767 and 1769 for Louis Phélypeaux, Comte de Saint-Florentin, one of the most influential figures of the reign of Louis XV…

A Poignant Love Letter…

“You Taught Me How To Love”

Dear H,

Knowing me as you do, you’ll remember I despise love letters – so pompous and posturing – emotional blackmail invariably the aim. However, I feel I owe one to you, the love of my 30s, thanking you for the years we spent together; a letter from one no longer in love, who can now love all the stronger because of you.

Our relationship taught me how to love as an adult, and you remain the only man I have ever set up house with. People declared us opposites: introvert and extrovert, sportsman and hedonist, music lover and word obsessive.
