The Marais experience… started with the usual espresso and croissant at… Café Charlot…

It is a beautifully situated brasserie… wrapped around the corner… “juste à côté du Marché des Enfants Rouges“… on rue de Bretagne…

It is lovely in the early morning… especially today since at last… the Parisian sun appeared… “en force“…

Reluctantly crossing the road over… to the highly recommended small… Vollailler Rôtisseur Stévenot… which offers succulent “poulet fermier” as well as other French oven-baked delicacies…

We continued walking down the road… where we stopped to have a light lunch at… Rose Bakery… which has a dazzling selection of salads… delicious organic chocolate brownies… their famous carrot cake… and many other mouth-watering specialities…

We were served our “tomates anciennes“… artichokes mixed with millet and chick peas… by the gorgeous young student working there part-time… accompanied by a refreshing green salad…

We left… the place…

Knowing full-well… that we will be visiting this health-conscious bakery… often…
