Terra Corsa… on Rue des Martyrs…
Rue… des Martyrs…
Is… compact…
With… impact…
It is… a steep…
Long… road…
Lined on both sides with clusters of traiteurs… bistros… cafés…
“Une rue… très vivante“…
It is romantic… exciting… vibrant…
Making our way uphill… we come across our favourite little “restaurant chinois”… YOOM… “le traiteur grec” on the left side… the recently opened Le Pain Quotidien on the right… also the charming Italian trattoria…
Just before the top of this adorable little road… we come across the colourful little Corsican “comptoir”… Terra Corsa…
“Une épicerie fine corse”…
The terrace on the sidewalk is charming… the interior is filled with Corsican delicacies consisting of their famous “fromages de chèvres et brebis“…as well as “charcuterie de montagne de Castagniccia”… the outstanding jambon… which they usually serve on a “planche”…
As well as other typically Corsican delicacies… such as Brocciu… fresh cheese made from ewe’s milk… Canistrelli biscuits… “confiture de figues et myrtes”… rich olive oils…as well as the local excellent Corsican wines…
Delectable…
Corsica… is an island that has long beckoned…
We’re in love with its crude… course… local produce… not to mention its raw… wild beauty…
Savouring a morsel of their indigenous desert… “le nougat Corse aux pistaches et noisettes”… accompanied by an express… we imagined how fabulous the port city of Porto-Vecchio would be… with its beautiful coastline… white sandy beaches… and amazing sparkling waters…
Terra… Corsa…
Is… charming…
Irresistable…
A…
Delight…
